10 Things That "Could" Happen If Oil Completely Runs Out

The reason why i posted this post is to realize how important oil is in our daily life and i think we have forgotten the gravity of it's consequences if we don't take this seriously

Have you ever thought for a bit what would the life be like if oil ran out tomorrow ?

Well here are a few view things that i could imagine that would happen, and believe me this has made me a lot more inclined towards preserving natural resources and going for alternatives.

I am sure it will make you too.

1)The immediate impact would be on the No transportation. Cars would be completely immobilized and travelling would be next to impossible although there will still be electric modes of transport but will be heavily burdened

2)Fast food era will come to an end and Collective farming would take place, with no transport available the farms will reach the cities The gardens and theme parks will be converted to farm lands
Parking lots will be converted to farm lands People would grow their own food, and strive on a much healthier diet.

3)Skies will be clearer with no emission whatsoever, temperatures would cool. and people would seem to lead a much sober lifestyle

4)There will be heavy burden on electricity and new and effective ways to harness renewable energy sources will be developed. Leading to Electricity Boom as the companies would find a potential market in many new fields of development where ol once dominated that sectors

5)Economy will collapse the free market trade would come to a halt and international currencies will collapse completely and will seize to exist barder system will be used for a while but local currencies will soon emerge as the life slowly starts moving and

6)Long distance travel would reduce significantly and would completely perish as far as airways are concerned

7)Shipping lanes and routes will be more organised and will be used as a way to cover long distances with the help of bio fuels such as bio diesel produced from algae.

8)With Lithium still available electric cars will still be seen but will be only affordable by the rich and soon they would also perish with the decrease in supply of Lithium.

9)Space missions will still be possible as a space shuttle uses no oil(oxygen hydrogen etc)although vehicles needed to-
Transport Shuttle to the pad
Produce Hydrogen
Transport personal
Generate power on the pad
The many aircraft used during a mission.
Getting the astronauts to the spacecraft.
etc...

require oil and so space missions would temporarily halt

10People would abandon old cities and new cities will be constructed more railroads will be established and high speed trains will be given more preference as a quick mode of transport.
